Actionable Fashion: Bring DKNY’s Runway Looks to Your Wardrobe

by Danisha LaShae

DKNY’s NYFW fashion show featured deep, rich hues, and the pairing of navy blue and cream with accents of white, which immediately caught my attention and got my style gears turning.

(I’m sure it’s the same for you, too.)

However, since the runway threads are way out of your wallet’s reach, I’ve created runway-ready outfits inspired by DKNY’s fall fashion show that are more pocket-friendly. Every piece is $60 or less.

As an accent color, red is the new white; and now that leopard print is considered a neutral, any bold statement necklace will suffice. If you want to make this outfit even bolder, swap out the black booties and gold pieces for royal blue pumps and silver accessories.

For an everyday, professional, powerhouse look, this is “that” women’s ideal outfit. I was inspired by its colors instead of its pieces. This ensemble covers all the fall trend bases, and even some summer trends that have transitioned into fall. To enhance your figure, try doubling up on the peplum (that’s the blouse). You can never get enough peplum. Pair it with a faux leather skinny pant and a pointy toe heel to elongate your legs.

I’ve joined forces with Over The Top Photography as a wardrobe stylist, and also have participated in a couple of photo shoots as well.
