Actionable Fashion: Falling for Fall Fashion (and Transitioning Out of Summer Style)

by Danisha LaShae

Fall is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be any more excited. Goodbye, scorching hot summers, and hello, cool breezes and leather jackets. Fall and winter are two of my favorite seasons – not just because of the weather, but also because of the layering. Layering different textures and colors creates a very chic look. The right combination of clothing items can create a posh but effortless ensemble.

Summer-to-Fall Style Transition

Fall fashion is all about taking your basic clothing items and turning them into edgy pieces, and basics are easy to transition from summer to fall. For example, let’s take a basic white t-shirt and a pair of ripped jeans.

For Summer = White tee + ripped jeans + strappy sandals + cross body handbag
For Fall = White tee + ripped jeans + ankle boots + leather jacket + a tote

Voila!

Action.

Why keep my excitement to myself? I’ve put together three key looks in Polyvore to get you started: business, casual, and special occasion. Thank me later. 😉

Hi, my name is Danisha Lashae, and I’m the face of www.lawabidingfashion.com. I’m a girl from a small town living out big dreams with a passion for law and fashion, with a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. While on this life journey, I express my emotions through fashion, mixing colors diving headfirst into trends. Do I abide by the laws of fashion? Never. Guilty as charged. But who wants to be boring? I’ve joined forces with Over The Top Photography as a wardrobe stylist, and also have participated in a couple of photo shoots as well.
