by Willie David ORLANDO, FLORIDA – The Holiday Inn Walt Disney World Resorts Hotel at Lake Buena Vista was the event location Friday morning as the 2015 Ms. International World and Ms. Latina International kicked off the pageant with its preliminary competition.
On day one of the competition, the judges were Ms. International World Jennifer Rosario, Ms. International World United States Esther Dollar, and Ms. Latina International Lorena Arbalaez who judged contestants representing, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Argentina, France, England, Italy, Haiti, Poland, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ireland, United States, Mexico, and Holland, just to name a few countries and territories.
The annual competition offers several opportunities for contestants to speak their minds.
The contestants competed in speech, knowledge, personality, photogenic, appearance, and congeniality. Judges jot down notes as contestants introduce themselves. Competitors also had to answer questions and present themselves in a professional manner as judges learned a bit about them. Some volunteered for non-profit organizations and others had professional careers.
“We are so proud to be hosting our International Pageants at the Holiday Inn Walt Disney World Resort Hotel”, says founder and CEO, Angela Posillico.
After Friday’s preliminary competition, the contestants from across the US and internationally will enjoy an evening at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom.
On Saturday, Ms. International World Organization will host a Women’s Empowerment Luncheon at 11:00 am. The Honorable Daisy Morales (also a judge) is among the elected officials attending this year’s International Pageants in Orlando, Florida.
The final competition will take place on Sunday, August 16th. VIP Red Carpet will take place at 3 pm, with final crowning show at 4 pm.
