With spring fast approaching, temps will be rising across Florida and that can only mean one thing – it’s time to go swimsuit shopping! You are probably wondering what swimwear trends will be popular this year, especially with the array of new and unheard-of styles and materials we’ve been seeing these past several years, in addition to the many new swimsuit designers that have been emerging. This year will be all about bright pinks and citrus colors, sleek, sporty suits, and seventies vibes. “(The designers) are doing ombre, they’re doing tie dye, but it’s a very sophisticated tie dye,” according to fashion expert Rod Hagwood, who was present at Miami Swim Week. One pieces, monokinis, cut-outs and high waists will remain popular. For coverups, grab a romper, jumper, or pair of 70’s-inspired, flowy pants. Some up-and-coming designers you need to watch out for include Mohini Swim and Charmosa Swimwear.
